Born out of curiosity, as all good things tend to be.  With little more than a scale and a pair of rubber gloves for equipment, my first batch was made in summer of 2005.  It was such a small amount that I was able to use the box my checks came in for the mold.  I had read the book a hundred times.  I knew I would pour it one day, then cut into 3 bars the next day and set aside for a month to let it cure before trying it.  

To be fair, I did manage to make it until the 2nd day before whacking a chunk off and sudsing up.  Bubbles!  It was wonderful.  So, before the first bars had even begun to cure, I was working on dreaming up the next batch, and the next, and the next and here we are.

We have a few tried and true always on hand, but a few new things are always sneaking in.  These tend to be in limited quantity depending on the season.  Soaps take 6 weeks at a minimum to cure, so any special orders need to keep this in mind.

Do I think you should buy my soap?  Yep.

Do I think you should make your own?  Better!
